Announcements

Next Sunday,  we will continue the Table Stories and Communion series.

Choir Practice will be held Thurs., December 4, at 7 p.m.

Work continues on the children’s ministry area in the basement and it is a construction site.  Parents, please help your children understand that they should not cross the yellow caution tapes for their safety.

Weekly saving money sessions with Suzie Bradford will start Wed., Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  This week we will cover stockpiling, coupons and organization.

Thursday, Dec. 4, all ladies are invited to come to the Mennonite Women’s sewing.  This month is a Christmas carry-in.  The special project is Relief Kits.

Next Sunday, Dec. 7, you are invited to a Ministry Fair in the Fellowship Hall following worship service. This fair will provide opportunities for people to volunteer.  I Cor. 12:27 says, “Now you are part of the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” Pray that God makes us aware of the talents that God has given us to use.

This year we will need 350 dozen home-baked cookies for distribution the week of December 15.  That’s 4200 cookies – and Gospel Echoes is asking us to provide all of them this year!!  If you can bake cookies for this project, please sign up on the bulletin board.  If you would prefer to donate money to purchase cookie dough for others to bake, you can designate money through the weekly offering or bring donations to the church office.

If you can help by delivering the cookies to the Ladies Prison in Indianapolis the week of Dec. 15, a sign-up sheet is available on the bulletin board.

Kokomo Rescue Mission is looking for volunteers to wrap gifts on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6 - 8 pm, Dec. 1 - 11 at 1901 E. Morgan St. (the old DuPont building).  You can call (765) 456-3838 or email Kelly at kwerdal@rescuekokomo.org to schedule a time to volunteer.  To help with delivery of the Christmas boxes, please sign up on the bulletin board by Sun., Dec. 14.  Delivery will be Mon., Dec. 22, beginning at 6 a.m.

A work trip with Mennonite Disaster Service is planned for Feb. 1-7, 2009 in Pass Christian, MS.  Talk to Pastor Lee if you are interested in going.
