Feeding the children of
Maconaquah Elementary Schools
Hunger isn't just a third-world problem, it's in our backyard. Children in our own school systems sometimes only receive food while at school. Buddy Bags aims to provide simple, easy and nutritious meals for these children on the weekends.
We have partnered with the Maconaquah School Corporation, other churches and community memebers to provide Buddy Bags to qualifying students at Pipe Creek Elementary and Maconaquah Elementary. Children who are on free and reduced lunch are able to receive a Buddy Bag every Friday. For the 2019-2020 school year, Buddy Bags are available to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. It costs $140 to sponsor one child with a bag each week for the whole school year. That's $140 per child per year.
Please consider partnering with us by donating your time in helping pack and deliver Buddy Bags or donating money by clicking the button above.

Jon & Lindsay Birkey
The son and daughter-in-law of church members Dale and Mary Birkey, Jon and Lindsay Birkey serve the American Indian Field as Camp Directors at Southwest Indian Ministry in Peoria, Arizona, for children and youth camps. Their vision for the ministry in the future includes adding more camps like sports camps and music camps.
They would also like to further develop the Leaders in Training (LIT) program for the youth. The LIT program is geared towards disciplining and equipping youth for leadership in their churches, schools and communities. Jon and Lindsay are also excited about further developing the camper follow-up program. Most of the children and youth who come to camp live hours away. Jon and Lindsay would like to develop a network of churches and pastors for kids to return to in their home areas who will help nurture them in their faith while they are not at camp. The ultimate dream for the ministry would be that God would stir the hearts of these children and youth and create in them a desire to transform generations through the love of Christ, fulfilling the Great Commission, and making disciples of all nations.
