Buddy Bags
Bunker Hill, Indiana
Feeding the children of
Maconaquah Elementary Schools
Hunger isn’t just a problem far away — it exists right here in our own community.
For some children, the meals they receive at school are the only reliable food they have during the week. Buddy Bags helps fill the gap by providing simple, nutritious food for weekends.
We partner with McGrawsville Community Church, Maconaquah School Corporation, and local volunteers to provide weekly bags of food for students at Pipe Creek Elementary and Maconaquah Elementary. Children who qualify for free or reduced lunch can receive a Buddy Bag each Friday throughout the school year (Kindergarten–5th grade).
It costs about $140 to provide weekend meals for one child for an entire school year.
Every bag makes a difference.

Jon & Lindsay Birkey
Missionaries
Peoria, Arizona
The son and daughter-in-law of church members Dale and Mary Birkey, Jon and Lindsay Birkey live in Peoria, Arizona. Through Gospel World Mission, they are dedicated to transforming Native American lives for Christ.
"God first called us to Arizona to share the love of Christ with Native American children and youth through serving as Bible camp directors at the Southwest Indian Ministries Center. Even though we continue to help with Bible camps, God has put on our hearts to use our administrative talents to help make Southwest Indian Ministries Center into a thriving facility. We strive to accomplish the vision of transforming Native American lives for Christ while providing opportunities for fellow believers to join us in furthering the Great Commission."
